Rathcoole Row on Row is a community project currently on going by the RATH. Community Group and members of Dalaradia to recognise those men and women who sacrificed their lives for our freedom.

Rathcoole is the largest housing estate in the United Kingdom and the second largest housing estate in Europe. We felt it was a travesty the area did not have any type of memorial in memory of the great men and women of the world wars and more recent conflicts and with a small step in 2020 we laid the foundations which we hope to continue to build on in the near future.

At the time of conception, during testing times, the Royal British Legion was calling on members of the public to assist their campaigns as the pandemic forced many veteran volunteers to stay at home. Many remembrance services was unfortunately cancelled and with that in mind our aim was to offer a small space within the estate for people to lay crosses in someone’s memorym with all proceeds (every single penny), going to the Poppy Appeal.

We identified a space within the Sir James Craig Play Park in Rathcoole and are now based there. Our first service was in 2020 and we are now going into our 5th year. Many thanks in advance for your support.
